About Full Color Decal

Decals are used for orders that have 6 or more colors, have very tight registration or highly detailed art.

Artwork is printed in spot colors if less than 6-7 colors otherwise they are printed CMYK with organic inks that are dishwasher safe for over 600 wash cycles. Decals are the perfect process for high end retail products and are used by many resorts, theme parks, and other large scale retailers.

They are durable enough for commercial or residential dishwashers and are the highest quality printing process with the most consistent production in the market.

About Screenprinting

We use lead-free ceramic enamel for direct screen printing on glass and ceramic vessels. This ensures the safety of the products for both consumers and the environment. The firing temperature of approximately 1150 degrees Fahrenheit is quite high and ensures a durable and long-lasting imprint.

The fact that the ceramic enamel used is dishwasher safe is a significant advantage for your customers, particularly for commercial and residential use where dishwashers are commonly found. However, it's essential to be aware of the potential risks associated with highly acidic water and cleaners, such as Lemishine and citric acid.

Here are a few points to consider:

  1. Avoid Highly Acidic Cleaners: As mentioned, highly acidic cleaners like Lemishine should not be used on products with ceramic enamel. These cleaners can damage the enamel, leading to discoloration or deterioration of the imprint. It's crucial to educate your customers about this and provide care instructions.
  2. Provide Cleaning Guidelines: In your product packaging or on your website, include clear and concise cleaning guidelines for your glass and ceramic vessels. Recommend using mild, non-acidic detergents and warm water for cleaning. Mention the potential risks of using highly acidic cleaners to raise awareness among customers.
  3. Customer Education: Consider providing information to your customers about the potential dangers of using highly acidic cleaners. You can include a small leaflet or a note with each product purchase, explaining the importance of using the right cleaning agents and methods to preserve the quality of the imprint.

By being proactive in educating your customers and providing clear care instructions, you can help them enjoy your glass and ceramic vessels for a long time while maintaining the quality of the imprint.

Alternatively consider our Citric Acid Proof Series (CAPS) for retail and residential purposes. These select colors are resistant to citric acid and printed with high-quality craftsmanship. Look for these colors in the drop-down list with "(CAPS)" following the name, like Black (CAPS). Citric Acid Proof Series (CAPS) are ideal for residential and retail products, considering the varying dishwasher options and formulas available. Although they offer the same opacity as our standard series, CAPS have a slightly more matte finish compared to the glossy lead-free ceramic enamel. Also, rest assured that CAPS are Proposition 65 compliant, just like our other items.
